 Prawns Curry with Coconut Milk - Enjoy the flavour


Hai, I'm Pidgu Sailja Venkat. Today, I present Prawns curry with coconut milk. Prawns curry with coconut milk is a delicious Malabar recipe.It can enjoy with plain rice, vegetable biryani, puri and chapathi. For this recipe we need 350 to 500 gms prawns. In Andhra Pradesh and Odisha we can find a large number of ponds people used to breed fresh prawns.

Prawns with Coconut Milk in Andhra Style

Prawns -350 gms (medium/big size)
Coconut milk- 2 cups
Grated coconut-1 table spoon
Tomatoes- 2no.s (medium size)
Onion small size – 1 no.s
Jeera powder-1 tsp
Dhania powder- ½ tsp
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds powder- 1 tsp
Green chillie- 3 no.s
Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
Red chillie powder- 1 tsp
Coriander – handful
Oil- 2 tbsps

Method:- 
 
Remove the outer coat of the legs and head.
Clean the prawns keep aside.
In a wok add oil.
Add pieces of onion & chillie fry till it gets golden brown colour.
Add ginger, garlic paste fry till its rawness disappears.
Add dhania powder, jeera powder then tomatoes & red chillie powder, turmeric powder fry.
Add prawns fry until oil separates masala.
Then pour coconut milk boil until the prawns get cooked.

At last add grated coconut and coriander leaves enjoy Prawns curry with Coconut Milk along with rice items, roti items & salad.
